Yeyo Reposado is the ultimate expression of artisanal tequila, meticulously handcrafted in small batches on the family estate in the Highlands of Jalisco. The tequila journey begins with 100% naturally grown Blue Weber agave, hand-harvested at peak maturity from the Vivanco family's pesticide-free plantations in Arandas. The agave undergoes a traditional slow 53+ hour roast in brick ovens, then ferments for over 190 hours to the soothing sounds of classical music—an homage to tradition and refinement that enhances the mellow notes of the spirit. Twice distilled in traditional copper pot stills under the direction of Master Distiller Sergio Cruz, the tequila is then aged for eight months in hand-selected Foursquare ex-rum oak casks, allowing it to develop exceptional depth of character. Bottled at 40% ABV and verified additive-free by Tequila Matchmaker, this is pure tequila as intended—using only three ingredients: agave, champagne yeast, and deep well water.
The nose opens with inviting aromas of fresh-cut agave and light tropical fruit, while the palate reveals a beautifully balanced profile of sweet agave, warm vanilla, caramel, pepper, cinnamon, and a hint of rich chocolate. The ex-rum casks impart fruity undertones with notes of bananas, caramel, and spiced oak, while the fermentation in classical music adds subtle harmonic complexity that creates a more rounded, mellow character than standard reposados. The finish is smooth, clean, and lingering—a testament to the meticulous craftsmanship that defines every bottle.
Perfect served neat in a rocks glass over a large ice cube to appreciate its full complexity, Yeyo Reposado excels in sophisticated cocktails like the Margarita, Paloma, or Tequila Old-Fashioned, where its balanced character shines. This is tequila for those who understand that true excellence requires patience, tradition, and uncompromising dedication to craft. Each bottle represents the five-generation legacy of the Vivanco family, honoring their commitment to sustainable agriculture and artisanal tequila production.
