Produced by Limestone Branch Distillery in Lebanon, Kentucky, the Yellowstone Recollection Series highlights aged small-batch releases that pay homage to the brand's long heritage dating back to 1872. Distilled from a classic Kentucky high-rye bourbon mashbill and aged for 8 full years in new charred American oak barrels, this expression offers rich notes of brown sugar, toasted oak, baking spices, and dark caramel.
Food Pairing: Smoked brisket, aged Gouda, pecan pie, dark chocolate truffles, or glazed pork ribs.
Tasting Notes: Rich amber with dark copper highlights and medium-to-heavy viscosity along the glass.
Nose: Rich and inviting, opening with toasted oak, dark caramel, and vanilla bean, followed by sweet rye spice, dried cherry, and soft leather.
Palate: Full-bodied and warm on the palate, featuring sweet brown sugar, toasted corn, and dark honey upfront before developing into cinnamon spice, nutmeg, and charred oak tannins.
Finish: Long, warm, and satisfying with lingering notes of vanilla, toasted wood, and gentle rye spice.
Serve: Enjoy neat at room temperature in a Glencairn glass, or with a splash of limestone water.
