Yaucono Ground Coffee Medium Roast is a smooth, well-balanced Puerto Rican blend sold as two 8 oz bags (16 oz total) ideal for everyday brewed coffee.
Yaucono has been a leading household coffee in Puerto Rico for decades; this offering delivers their signature medium roast in a ready-to-brew ground form. Beans are hand-picked, roasted to a medium profile, and processed to an ultra-fine grind that aims to produce a consistent, rich cup. This pack of two 8-ounce bags makes it easy to keep a familiar pantry staple on hand or to share the taste of Puerto Rico with family and friends.
What flavor and roast profile does this Yaucono ground coffee offer?
The coffee is a medium roast designed for balance: not too light and not heavily roasted, producing smooth taste and a rounded body. Expect moderate acidity with a lingering richness that suits milk or black coffee preparations.
- Medium roast for balanced aroma and body
- Tasting notes: smooth and well balanced
- Ultra-fine grind for even extraction
- Suitable for drip machines, moka pots, and French press when adjusted
How is the coffee processed and packaged?
Yaucono uses hand-picked beans that are roasted to a consistent medium level, then ground finely to create a uniform product. The two 8 oz bags are sealed to preserve freshness and are sized for convenient storage or gifting.
- Hand-picked beans for quality selection
- Medium roast and ultra-fine grind for consistent flavor
- Two 8 oz bags for 16 ounces total—compact and pantry-friendly
- Packaging retains aroma for everyday use
How should I brew Yaucono ground coffee for the best results?
Because the blend is ground finely, start with standard coffee ratios and adjust to taste—use slightly coarser grind settings if you prefer less intensity in a French press. For drip machines and pour-over, use fresh, filtered water heated to about 195–205°F for optimal extraction.
- Drip/pour-over: 1 to 2 tablespoons per 6 ounces of water
- Moka pot: packs well due to fine grind for a robust cup
- French press: consider a coarser grind or shorter steep time
- Store in a cool, dry place to preserve flavor
What makes Yaucono a popular choice in Puerto Rican homes?
