Patience pays off in Washington. For years, Woodinville meticulously refined their craft, experimenting with heavily toasted and lightly charred barrels. Distilled from a bespoke mashbill, this liquid journeys across the Cascade Mountains to age in a semi-arid environment where extreme temperature swings force the whiskey deep into the wood. The result defies traditional expectations. It entirely eschews the aggressive tannins often found in older releases, delivering instead an intricate web of deep, matured flavors.
Age radically transforms this distillate. Ten years inside custom-coopered oak fundamentally rewrites the script for Pacific Northwest bourbon. The spirit extracts an astonishing concentration of phenolic compounds, yielding vivid bursts of dark fruit and toasted nuts that only a decade of harsh seasonal shifts can forge. A bold structure emerges here. You'll notice an intense concentration of caramelized sugars mingling with a profound, earthy spice backbone.
This release demands absolute attention. The master distillers finally felt the spirit reached its absolute apex, choosing to capture this moment rather than letting the barrels rest any longer. It harnesses the rugged essence of the terroir while maintaining a precise, deliberate balance that keeps the heavier oak influence entirely in check. Exceptional whiskey requires zero compromises!
