Legacy meets experiment in this bottle. Master’s Keep One brings together mid-aged and older Wild Turkey bourbons, then gives them a second life in specially toasted and charred new oak barrels in Lawrenceburg, Kentucky. The result is a limited-edition Kentucky straight bourbon that feels polished yet still undeniably Wild Turkey—bold, sweet, smoky, and just a little rebellious.
On the nose, it’s immediately inviting. Honeyed sweetness, vanilla cream, caramel chews, and orange peel rise from the glass, chased by toasted oak and warm brown spice. It smells like someone has combined the scent of a campfire dessert, polished wood, and a well-worn leather armchair in one quietly luxurious moment.
On the palate, the drama deepens. Layers of butterscotch, vanilla fudge, toasted marshmallow, and caramelized sugar glide over a core of ripe stone fruit, orange zest, and smoky, seasoned oak. There’s structure, too—leather, sweet tobacco, and cinnamon spice keep things from turning cloying, so each sip feels composed rather than showy.
This is a pour for lingering. Enjoy it neat in a sturdy rocks or Glencairn glass to catch the interplay of toasted oak, sweet vanilla, spice, and gentle citrus. At 101 proof, it has enough power to stay vivid with a cube, yet the texture stays velvety rather than harsh. Collectors will appreciate its limited-release status, but it’s far too engaging to leave sealed on a shelf forever.
