Celebrate the 150th Prime Barrel release with the legacy of Wild Turkey Rye when you experience this Private Selection Single Barrel. Wild Turkey hosted a group of eight Prime Barrel members at the distillery in Lawrenceburg, KY, who chose this exceptional Kentucky rye whiskey barrel for its depth and classic character.
A true Kentucky rye with a traditional mashbill of 51% rye, 37% corn and 12% malted barley, this single barrel was masterfully aged for 6 years and 7 months in the ideal microclimate of the 5th floor of iconic Tyrone Warehouse A. Bottled at Wild Turkey's signature 101 proof, the palate strikes the perfect balance between sweetness, complexity and traditional rye spice.
Wild Turkey is one of the few American distilleries that never stopped making rye whiskey, even through periods when rye fell out of fashion. For many years, they only distilled rye in short annual runs lasting about a week—a commitment to authentic Kentucky rye production that few distilleries maintained.
More recently, Bruce Russell has played a pivotal role in elevating Wild Turkey Rye's profile, highlighting its bold, classic character. Bruce's passion led to the creation of a limited Rye Single Barrel Private Selection program to showcase Wild Turkey's long-standing commitment to traditional rye whiskey production. This exclusive barrel is one of only 100 Rye Private Selection Single Barrels released annually and one of just three allocated to New York.
Discover why this powerful yet balanced Wild Turkey Rye Private Selection single barrel rose to the top of the class. Order yours and enjoy a taste of Kentucky heritage and craftsmanship.
