Wild Turkey 1855 Reserve Barrel Proof Bourbon is a distinguished expression from the renowned Wild Turkey Distillery in Kentucky. Introduced in 1992, this bourbon is a blend of 6-, 8-, and 12-year-old whiskies, bottled at barrel proof to preserve its robust character. The "1855" designation honors the founding year of Austin Nichols, the original parent company of Wild Turkey.
This exceptional expression honors the year the Ripy family first began distilling at what would eventually become Wild Turkey. Master Distiller Jimmy Russell's decades of experience shine through in this barrel proof offering. The high rye mashbill creates a bold spice backbone that stands up beautifully to the robust proof. Bottled straight from the barrel without dilution, this bourbon delivers maximum flavor intensity and mouthfeel. The lack of chill-filtration preserves all the natural oils and flavor compounds that make Wild Turkey distinctive. You'll discover the quintessential Wild Turkey character—vanilla, caramel, and bold spice—magnified by the higher proof. The deep amber color hints at the richness waiting within each bottle. This small batch release captures the essence of Kentucky bourbon tradition while offering a powerful, uncut experience.
