This Cartier lighter, released in 1970, is an extraordinary early example of the Maison’s precious‑metal production and represents one of the most distinctive creations from Cartier’s golden era. Crafted entirely in solid 18k gold and bearing dual 750 hallmarks on both the body and base weight about 83 g hallmarked on body and under the lighter . solid 18k gold, it confirms authentic factory Cartier manufacture from the early period of the brand’s luxury lighter production. The piece is further distinguished by a rare Tiger’s Eye resin inlay, a delicate and technically complex material that seldom survives intact due to its fragile nature. Because of this, surviving examples are exceptionally rare. With its substantial weight, refined craftsmanship, and remarkable preservation, this lighter stands as a significant collector-grade artifact from Cartier’s early lighter history.
