Veuve Clicquot La Grande Dame 2008 in the majestic 3L Jeroboam format is a breathtaking expression of vintage Champagne—taut, luminous, and built for decades of graceful aging. It embodies the soul of the House: power and precision in perfect harmony, presented on a grand scale worthy of the name “La Grande Dame.”
Origins & Craftsmanship
Created as the pinnacle of Veuve Clicquot’s artistry, La Grande Dame 2008 honors the legacy of Madame Clicquot, the “Grande Dame of Champagne.” This exceptional cuvée is composed of 92% Pinot Noir and 8% Chardonnay, sourced exclusively from the house’s historic Grand Cru vineyards—Aÿ, Verzenay, Verzy, Ambonnay, Bouzy, Avize, and Le Mesnil-sur-Oger.
The 2008 vintage was marked by a cool, slow-ripening season that produced grapes of remarkable acidity and purity. After extended aging—over 10 years on lees in Veuve’s chalk cellars—the result is a Champagne of crystalline precision, minerality, and depth. Bottled in a rare 3-liter Jeroboam, it offers not only stunning visual impact but also slower, more graceful maturation due to the large-format bottle size.
