The Umbagog Bronzeback Rothschild is a 5 × 48 premium cigar from Dunbarton Tobacco & Trust, blended by Steve Saka as a more rugged, pepper-forward take on the original Umbagog line. The name reflects Saka’s love of fishing—Umbagog is a lake in New Hampshire, and Bronzeback is a nickname for smallmouth bass—setting the tone for a cigar built for the outdoors and everyday enjoyment.
Blend & Construction
This Rothschild vitola uses a distinctive tobacco selection designed to emphasize strength and spice over sweetness. The wrapper is U.S. Connecticut Broadleaf 2LS, harvested from lower primings on the stalk, which brings a drier, more peppery character. A Nicaraguan binder and filler provide structure, body, and earthy depth. The cigar is hand-rolled at Nicaragua American Cigars S.A. (NACSA) in Estelí, Nicaragua.

Flavor Profile
Umbagog Bronzeback is intentionally straightforward and honest. Expect core notes of coffee, earth, and black pepper, with a touch of restrained sweetness early on. As the cigar progresses, the sweetness fades and the profile leans deeper into pepper and earthy richness, delivering a consistent, no-frills smoking experience that holds up well in any environment.
Umbagog Bronzeback Rothschild is available at in 5 packs or wrapped Bundles of 10
