Trader Joe's Organic Pastilles Gingermints are bite-sized, organic mint pastilles flavored with ginger for a refreshing, slightly spicy breath freshener in a convenient 40g tin.
These compact tins from Trader Joe's combine organic peppermint and warming ginger into small, shelf-stable discs designed for on-the-go freshness. Each 40g package contains individually packed pastilles that balance cool mint with mild ginger warmth, and this listing is for a six-pack—handy for keeping tins at home, work, or in a bag. The ingredients are USDA organic where noted on the label, and the pastilles are intended as a flavorful, sugar-sweetened candy-like mint rather than a medicinal product.
What do these Gingermints taste like and when should I enjoy them?
The taste is a clear mint front with a subtle ginger afternote that adds gentle spiciness and depth. They work well after meals, before meetings, or whenever you want a compact mint with a slightly warming finish rather than a purely sweet menthol hit.
- Primary flavors: cool peppermint with a warm ginger undertone.
- Texture: firm, pastille-style lozenge that dissolves slowly.
- Best times: after eating, before social interactions, or while traveling.
- Serving size: small, designed for single chew/dissolve portions.
How are these pastilles made and what’s in them?
Trader Joe's labels these Gingermints as organic pastilles, meaning the recipe uses certified organic ingredients where indicated and follows conventional candy-making methods to form firm, long-lasting discs. The ingredient list centers on sweeteners and flavorings including peppermint oil and ginger flavor, but always check the tin for the most current allergen and ingredient details.

How should I store and carry the 40g tins for best freshness?
The small metal tins are designed for portability and stay fresh when stored in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight. Because each tin is only 40g, it's easy to keep a few in different locations—purse, desk drawer, car glove box—so you always have a freshening option at hand.
- Store in a cool, dry cupboard or drawer.
- Avoid heat exposure to prevent softening or stickiness.
- One 40g tin fits comfortably in pockets and small bags.
- Buying the 6-pack keeps spares available at multiple locations.
How many tins come in this pack and what’s the value?
This product is offered as a 6-pack of 40g tins, giving you multiple supply points and sharing options. Purchasing in a bundle reduces the need for frequent trips to restock and is convenient for gifting or distributing among family and coworkers.
- Six 40g tins included per purchase.
- Each tin holds individually sized pastilles for multiple servings.
- Good option for stocking up or splitting between locations.
- Compact tins minimize space while providing repeated use.
Who is this for: Trader Joe's Organic Pastilles Gingermints suit anyone seeking a portable, organic-labeled mint with a hint of ginger—ideal for shoppers who prefer a slightly spicy, less saccharine mint than standard peppermint candies. They’re well suited to commuters, office workers, travelers, and people who like small tins that slip into pockets or bags for convenient freshening throughout the day.
