Tip Top Paper Plane Cocktail is a perfectly balanced, ready-to-drink version of the modern classic cocktail that has become a bartender favorite and contemporary staple. Created by acclaimed bartender Sam Ross in the mid-2000s, the Paper Plane combines equal parts bourbon, Aperol, Amaro Nonino, and fresh lemon juice to create a harmonious blend of sweet, bitter, and citrus flavors that's both approachable and sophisticated. Tip Top's expert crafting captures the precise balance that makes this cocktail so beloved, delivering bar-quality results without the need for multiple bottles, fresh citrus, or shaking. Pre-batched and ready to pour, this cocktail brings the elegance of a carefully crafted modern classic to any occasion, making it perfect for entertaining, enjoying at home, or discovering why the Paper Plane has earned its place in the contemporary cocktail canon.
The cocktail presents a beautiful sunset-orange hue and an inviting aroma of citrus, bourbon warmth, and bittersweet aperitivo notes. On the palate, the experience is exquisitely balanced with the smooth richness of bourbon meeting the bright bitterness of Aperol and the herbal complexity of amaro, all lifted by fresh lemon tartness that keeps everything vibrant and refreshing. The finish is clean and satisfying with lingering citrus, gentle bitterness, and warming whiskey notes that make it dangerously easy to drink. Serve it well-chilled, either straight up in a coupe glass for classic presentation or over ice for a more relaxed approach, and garnish with a lemon twist to complete the experience. The balanced, sessionable nature makes it perfect for aperitivo hour, dinner parties, or anytime you want a sophisticated cocktail that's equal parts refreshing and complex. Whether you're already a Paper Plane devotee or curious to try this celebrated modern classic, Tip Top delivers authentic flavor with consistent quality and effortless convenience.
