Privada Storytelling
Privada has always been more than cigars—it is a family. Few releases embody that better than The Shit Show Crew Maduro Lonsdale. This cigar honors some of the longest-standing Privada members: a tight-knit group of Midwest brothers bound by the leaf, by laughter, and by nights that turn into legends. Their most infamous gathering took place in New Orleans—a city of jazz, spirits, and chaos. A night that was, by every definition, a shit show.
This release commemorates that memory not with solemnity but with celebration. Rolled by AJ Fernandez, the King of Nicaraguan tobacco, it channels both the madness of the night and the artistry of true craft. Aged for over three years, it has transformed into an elegant, flavorful experience that pays homage not only to the Shit Show Crew but to every Privada member who knows what it means to turn nights into stories.
Flavor Journey
First Third: Rawhide, saddle leather, peach, and barnyard aromas precede flavors of black soy sauce, molasses, florals, and candied orange. Retrohale brings black pepper, candied fruit, leather, and dried florals. Chocolate and apricot sneak in as the profile expands.
Second Third: Chocolate deepens, candied orange sharpens, and malted toastiness emerges. Retrohale shifts to red pepper, supported by toasted nuts and cereal. Balance builds between sweetness, spice, and richness.
Final Third: Black coffee with sugar dominates, joined by florals, herbs, and an unexpected burst of sour Sprees candy. Red pepper retro persists alongside dried cherries, tart citrus, and oak, closing the experience with a sweet-sour twist that elevates the finale.
Why It Belongs in Privada
Privada thrives on turning personal stories into collective experiences. This cigar is proof. The Shit Show Crew may be just four members from the Midwest, but their bond represents the essence of Privada: community, loyalty, and memories forged in smoke. AJ Fernandez created this cigar not only as a masterpiece in broadleaf blending but also as a celebration of people, place, and story. That’s why it belongs here—because Privada cigars are more than smokes; they’re chapters in our shared history.
