Barrel-aged Colombian beans, crafted for bourbon lovers.
This Prime Barrel x Kentucky Old Crow Coffee Company collaboration combines the unique flavors of Colombian terroir with the gentle bourbon character from OCD #5 barrels. It’s silky and expressive. Raw beans rest in bourbon casks, then roast on site at Glenns Creek Distillery, yielding a cup where aromas dance and textures turn velvety and deeply layered.
Origin details that matter in the cup.
Sourced from Colombia at 1,300–1,650 masl, these lots feature Castillo, Caturra, Colombia, and Typica varietals grown on schist-kissed slopes and meticulously processed. Balance stays front and center. You’ll taste sweet florals, a spice halo, and a walnut-chocolate undertone that carries through the finish with calm, confident persistence.
Roast profile built for versatility.
Medium roast preserves clarity and lift, while a touch darker builds body, gentle smokiness, and classic Colombian warmth without losing structure.
Process you can taste in every sip.
Bourbon-barrel aging happens before roasting, allowing oak and spirit aromatics to infuse the green coffee slowly and evenly for remarkable complexity. Small batches only. Roasting at Glenns Creek keeps freshness tight, ensures lot integrity, and delivers consistent results across brew methods and grind sizes.
Brew notes for peak expression.
Start at a 1:16 ratio for pour-over, with a medium grind and 200°F water, adjusting for sweetness and clarity as needed. Espresso sings too. Aim for a slightly longer shot to spotlight chocolate, walnut, and that refined, barrel-born perfume.
