The Octave 16 Year Old Drumblade 2008 Single Cask Blended Malt Scotch Whisky Cask #1446243 is a rare release from Scotland, distilled at Drumblade Distillery and matured for sixteen years before spending nine finishing months in a small octave cask with an Oloroso influence. Crafted from blended malted barley and bottled in 2024 at a bold 55.2% ABV, this limited single cask expression captures the richness and depth that patient Scottish maturation can create.
Warm aromas open with dried fruit, toasted oak, and dark sherry sweetness. The palate unfolds with notes of raisin, caramelized nuts, baking spice, and subtle cocoa, balanced by a robust yet elegant finish. Best enjoyed neat or with a few drops of water to reveal its layered character, this cask strength Scotch whisky rewards slow sipping and thoughtful appreciation.
