Privada Storytelling
The Not Cap’n is an instant classic born from Privada’s partnership with the boutique Costa Rican factory, PV Puros. This collaboration began over four years ago during a whirlwind period of Privada’s growth, when a cache of aged cigars at the factory revealed hidden treasures too good to leave behind.
Wrapped in a silky Ecuadorian Connecticut Shade, this cigar stands as a testament to patience, craft, and discovery. Though it carries mystery in its binder and fillers, it confidently delivers power and finesse, aged gracefully for over four years. Many will compare it to legends like the Cuban Link OG — and some might even prefer it.
Flavor Journey
The opening offers a smooth creaminess backed by cedar and toasted grain. Almond and white pepper flicker through, balanced by earth and subtle sweetness. Midway, the Connecticut wrapper shows its strength, building body while keeping refinement intact. The final third lingers with harmony, where spice and cream finish with quiet strength.
Why It Belongs in Privada
Privada is built on finding the overlooked and transforming it into the unforgettable. The Not Cap’n embodies this mission perfectly: a hidden gem aged in Costa Rica that now emerges as a refined powerhouse. It is a cigar that combines mystery, history, and undeniable flavor — a true Privada moment.
