The Macallan Archival Series Folio 8 Single Malt Scotch Whisky is a limited-edition release that pays homage to the brand's iconic 1980s advertising campaign, "The Colossus of Nose." This campaign playfully highlighted the whisky's towering aroma, drawing inspiration from the ancient Colossus of Rhodes. Crafted from a selection of first-fill and refill European oak sherry casks, Folio 8 embodies The Macallan's signature sherry-forward profile. Bottled at 43% ABV, this expression offers a harmonious blend of rich dried fruits, sweet spices, and citrus notes. The whisky's vintage terracotta hue is reminiscent of the roof tiles in Jerez, Spain, where The Macallan's cask journey begins. Presented in a book-shaped box, each bottle is accompanied by a commemorative booklet that delves into the brand's historic advertising efforts. With only 450 bottles available in the U.S., this release is a true collector's item.
