Drew Mayville and Harlen Wheatley selected three of Buffalo Trace’s oldest barrels, distilled in 1995, 1996 and 1997, for this 27-year-old Kentucky straight bourbon. Release 37 combines the depth of unusually long maturation with dark fruit and caramel sweetness, bottled at a substantial 121.8 proof.
Flavor Profile
Seasoned oak, cherry, dates and baking spice lead into caramel, chocolate-covered cherries, tobacco and leather. Dried fruit and oak spice extend the warming finish.
