A Regal Six-Cask Masterpiece
The Dalmore King Alexander III is one of the most ambitious expressions in the Highland distillery's celebrated range — a single malt matured and finished across six distinct cask types to create a whisky of extraordinary complexity and depth. Named in honour of the Scottish king whose life was saved by a clan ancestor of the Mackenzie family (the original owners of Dalmore), this expression is a fitting tribute: layered, majestic, and built to impress. Each cask type — bourbon, sherry, Marsala, port, Madeira, and Cabernet Sauvignon — contributes its own character, and master distiller Richard Paterson weaves them together into something genuinely remarkable.
- Nose: Opulent and complex — rich dark fruit, orange zest, and vanilla with waves of chocolate, warm spice, and a subtle floral sweetness from the varied cask influence
- Palate: Luxuriously layered — dried fruit, toffee, and dark chocolate with a warming spice and a silky richness that builds through the six cask influences
- Finish: Long and regal with lingering fruit, spice, and a clean, warming oak fade
- Distillery: The Dalmore, Alness, Highland, Scotland
- Style: Six-Cask Finish Single Malt
- Casks: Bourbon, Sherry, Marsala, Port, Madeira, Cabernet Sauvignon
- Region: Highland
- ABV: 40% / Proof: 80
