Island Spirit Meets Bordeaux Sweetness
The Arran Malt Sauternes Cask Finish takes the distillery's signature clean, fruit-forward island spirit and finishes it in ex-Sauternes wine casks from Bordeaux — adding a layer of honeyed, apricot-sweet complexity that transforms the clean Arran character into something deeply indulgent and distinctive. The result is a whisky of genuine elegance and surprise: the fresh island fruitiness of Arran meeting the luscious, botrytised sweetness of Sauternes in a combination that is both unexpected and deeply rewarding.
- Nose: Distinctive and inviting — honey, ripe apricot, and a gentle Sauternes sweetness with notes of vanilla, fresh orchard fruit, and a soft island freshness
- Palate: Smooth and elegantly sweet — toffee, peach, and a warming spice with a luscious wine-influenced sweetness and a clean, island malt character
- Finish: Medium-long and gently warming with lingering honey, apricot, and a clean, wine-cask sweetness
