Terravista Vineyards Terroir Project Syrah presents a deep ruby-purple appearance with an opaque core in the glass. Its sensory profile is remarkably fragrant, high-toned, and classic, opening with an expressive bouquet of fresh wild blackberries, dark plums, and cracked black pepper, beautifully layered with complex hints of violets, dried savory herbs, and a touch of cured meat. On the palate, the wine is medium-to-full-bodied and texturally rich, showcasing a pure core of dark mountain berries and stone fruits. It is characterized by an outstanding, cool-climate freshness and a vibrant backbone of acidity that perfectly balances its natural fruit weight. The mouthfeel is held together by fine, well-integrated tannins that carry into a long, clean finish highlighted by lingering notes of graphite, spice, and savory earth.
This 100% Syrah was carefully vinified in small batches to ensure a precise and gentle extraction of flavors. To protect the absolute purity of the fruit and its Naramata origin, the winemakers utilized a restrained barrel program featuring neutral oak barrels, allowing the wine to develop a supple mid-palate texture without being masked by heavy wood influence.
