Wrapper: Nicaraguan Corojo 99
Binder: Nicaraguan
Filler: Nicaraguan
Profile: Medium+
The Tatuaje RC 233 represents one of the most ambitious and distinctive creations in Pete Johnson’s Retro Cuban line. Handcrafted by José “Pepín” García and his skilled team, this Gran Perfecto showcases the precision, structure, and balance that define Tatuaje’s classic Nicaraguan character.
Measuring 9 1/8 x 55, the RC 233 is named for its length in millimeters and wrapped partly in silver foil to evoke vintage Havana tradition. It is built entirely from Nicaraguan tobaccos, including a Nicaraguan Corojo 99 wrapper, Nicaraguan binder, and Nicaraguan filler, producing a smooth progression of earthy richness, subtle sweetness, and layered spice.
The smoke opens with gentle notes of earth, wood, and coffee before deepening into cocoa, nuts, and pepper as strength gradually moves from medium to full. Despite its size, the draw and burn remain impressively consistent throughout, offering a refined, meditative experience that lasts over two hours.
The Tatuaje RC 233 is more than a cigar; it is a statement piece for the true aficionado: bold, traditional, and meticulously crafted to turn any moment into an exceptional occasion.
