Privada Storytelling
Pete Johnson’s Avion series was always meant to soar above the rest—limited, striking, and unforgettable. The Avion 13 Corojo captures that ethos in a vitola that has become iconic: the perfecto-shaped Avion, sleek and commanding. Rolled at the My Father factory in Estelí, this release blends Johnson’s boutique vision with the Garcia family’s exacting standards.
Corojo leaf wraps this Avion in tradition and fire, a nod to Cuba’s glory days and Nicaragua’s bold present. Smoking it feels ceremonial, like boarding a first-class flight into flavor. Each puff reminds you that the Avion series isn’t just another line in Tatuaje’s catalog—it’s a living legend, released sparingly and remembered fondly by those lucky enough to find it.
Flavor Journey
The opening notes ignite with classic Corojo spice—red pepper, cedar, and roasted nuts. As the burn settles into its rhythm, leather and cocoa take the stage, supported by a backbone of earth. Midway, a gentle sweetness of dried fruit emerges, balancing the robust character. In the final third, pepper swells back up, but cream softens the landing, leaving the palate satisfied yet craving another flight.
Why It Belongs in Privada
The Avion 13 Corojo represents the kind of cigar Privada collectors cherish: rare, memorable, and rooted in a story of collaboration between two of the industry’s finest minds. Pete Johnson’s vision and the Garcia family’s craftsmanship converge in this release, delivering a cigar that is as collectible as it is smokable. It belongs here because it is more than just a cigar—it’s a moment in boutique history.
