Natural Biodegradable Tea Filter Bags with Drawstring For Making Black Water Extract
Brew the benefits of nature straight into your setup with our Natural Biodegradable Tea Filter Bags with Drawstring, perfect for creating blackwater extract using Catappa leaf powder. These eco-friendly tea bags make it simple to steep powerful tannins without loose debris floating around your aquarium, paludarium, or amphibian enclosure.
Using Catappa leaf powder in tea bags offers a clean, efficient way to deliver the natural antibacterial, antifungal, and stress-reducing properties of blackwater environments. In aquariums, blackwater extract helps lower pH levels naturally, supports healthy slime coat production in fish, and promotes vivid coloration. For amphibians and terrarium species, tannins contribute to healthier skin, improved hydration, and a more naturalistic microclimate.
The biodegradable filter bags are designed for easy use and disposal, making it effortless to refresh your setups while staying eco-conscious. Give your aquatic and land-dwelling animals the natural boost they deserve, while keeping your enclosures looking clean and authentic.
How to Use:
-
Fill the biodegradable tea bag with the desired amount of Catappa leaf powder.
-
Pull the drawstring tight to seal the bag.
-
Place the bag directly into your aquarium, terrarium water feature, or steep it separately in dechlorinated water to create a blackwater extract bringing to a boil, then reducing to a simmer for 30-60 minutes. Turn off the heat, allow the leaves to steep in the water while it cools.
-
Allow the bag to steep for 12–24 hours for maximum tannin release.
-
Remove the bag and enjoy the benefits of a natural, tannin-rich environment.
For best results, replace or refresh bags often depending on your setup's needs.
