Tasting notes: Citrus Fruits, White Flowers, tropical Fruits and Panela
Grown by Hugo Pareja at Finca Inka Rumi in Peru’s Cedrobamba region, this exceptional SL9 lot thrives at elevations of 2,300–2,500 metres, among the highest coffee-growing areas in the world. Processed using a meticulous 36-hour Dry Honey fermentation, it develops remarkable sweetness, clarity, and complexity while showcasing the unique character of this rare Ethiopian-origin variety.
In the cup, delicate notes of citrus and white flowers create a bright, elegant opening. A silky texture carries into layers of tropical fruit sweetness, while a smooth panela-like finish brings warmth and balance. Refined, expressive, and beautifully structured, this coffee is a stunning example of Peru’s emerging high-altitude specialty coffee scene.
