From TANAT
Score: 92
This special Tanat batch is a true marvel grown at 1,600 m altitude in the famous Boquete region, in Chiriquí.
This exceptional Geisha is the result of a unique collaboration between the meticulous work of producer José Luttrell, an iconic figure at Abu Coffee, and the cutting-edge expertise of the Lost Origin laboratory. Together, they push the boundaries of coffee cultivation by combining prestigious terroir with scientific precision.
The magic of this coffee lies in its innovative Natural process using yeast inoculation. Fermentation took place in custom-designed stainless steel tanks, meticulously guided by the specific yeast strain "LOY-012". For five days, under absolute control and at an average temperature of 24°C, this process sculpted the bean's aromatic profile with exceptional precision. The coffee then underwent a slow and rigorous 27-day drying process in strictly controlled temperature and humidity chambers, guaranteeing perfect purity and stability.
On the palate, it reveals a bright, complex and wonderfully tangy cup: a refreshing vivacity reminiscent of lemonade and orange candy, enhanced by the vibrant sweetness of blood orange, all subtly enveloped by the floral elegance of dried jasmine.
