The Suntory Yamazaki Distiller's Reserve is a flagship single malt whiskey from Japan’s first and oldest malt distillery, the Yamazaki Distillery. Established in 1923 by founder Shinjiro Torii, the Yamazaki Distillery is renowned for its range of exceptional whiskies. This Distiller's Reserve variant is a testament to the distillery's mastery in blending, combining young talent whiskey matured in Bordeaux wine casks with about 20-year-old Sherry casks whiskey and whiskey from Mizunara oak casks. The result is a whiskey that resonates with the unique qualities of Japanese oak, offering a nuanced and layered taste experience.
