We are very excited for our first Sunday Run of the season in collaboration with the Ajax Wannabes Run Club on Sunday July 26th at 10am!
This will be a 5km run starting and finishing at The Pump House
Registration is a minimum $5 donation with all proceeds going to The Terry Fox Foundation...
"As a runner I really admired Terry Fox and his fundraising goal raising $1 for each Canadian as he ran across Canada on a prosthetic leg. I have run several marathons and know how difficult they are. Terry was going to run a marathon, every day, until he ran across Canada! Ultimately, he had to stop when his cancer returned however, he ran for 143 days reaching 5373KM and surpassed his fundraising goal.
I believe we can all make a difference and that is why I run to raise money for the Terry Fox Foundation. Raising money for cancer research in hope maybe someone’s friend, parent or child will be able to share more memories with their loved ones."

"Darryl Sittler met with Terry Fox in Toronto during the Marathon of Hope in 1980 at City Hall. He has autographed a one-of-a-kind custom painted hockey stick donated by Heritage Stick Company. This stick was donated and offered to me to use for an upcoming Terry Fox fundraising campaign. Darryl Sittler has a strong connection with Terry Fox and is very supportive with this charity. Since July 26 two days away from Terry Fox birthday I thought this would be the perfect community event to showcase the one-of-a-kind item." - Wayne Young - Ajax Wannabes
