Stella Blue Big Cat Blend cold brew coffee bags are single-steep, 100% Arabica medium roast pouches crafted to make smooth, caramel-and-hazelnut–forward cold brew at home with no special equipment.
Stella Blue’s Big Cat Blend offers a convenience-first approach to cold brew: pre-ground, ethically sourced Arabica coffee in six sealed brew bags per box, formulated to produce a bold-bodied yet clean cup. Inspired by Dan “Big Cat” Katz and his rescue dog Stella, this medium roast highlights caramel sweetness, toasted hazelnut notes, and a fruity finish. The format is ideal for busy routines, tailgates, or anyone who prefers cold-brewed coffee without grinders, filters, or messy grounds.
How do these cold brew bags simplify making cold coffee at home?
The brew bags eliminate measuring, filtering, and cleanup by combining a pre-portioned ground coffee inside a steepable filter pouch. You only need cold water and a container to steep overnight, then remove the bag and enjoy chilled coffee immediately. This streamlines brewing for both beginners and experienced cold-brew fans.
- Six sealed brew bags per box—one bag per batch or stronger concentrate when doubled
- No grinder, paper filters, or complicated equipment required
- Steep in pitcher, mason jar, or bottle; discard or compost used bag
What flavor profile should I expect from the Big Cat Blend?
The blend is balanced toward medium roast characteristics: a noticeable caramel sweetness layered with toasted hazelnut and a light fruity finish. Body is smooth and bold without harsh bitterness, offering a clean finish that works well straight over ice or mixed into lattes and cocktails.
- Primary tasting notes: caramel and toasted hazelnut
- Supporting acidity: mild fruity lift for brightness
- Best served cold over ice, diluted as concentrate, or with milk or plant-based alternatives
Where do the beans come from and how is the product ethical?
Stella Blue sources 100% Arabica beans from trusted growers in Central and South America, focusing on consistent quality and traceable supply chains. The company highlights responsible sourcing practices to support farmers and sustainable growing. Purchases also fund animal rescue initiatives tied to the brand’s mission.
- 100% Arabica beans sourced from Central and South America
- Quality selection aimed at balanced aroma, acidity, and body
- Portions of proceeds support animal rescue and adoption programs
How should I brew for best results and how long to steep?
For a classic cold brew, fully submerge one sealed bag in about 32 ounces (1 liter) of cold water and refrigerate 12–18 hours. For a stronger concentrate, use the same bag with 16 ounces (500 ml) and dilute to taste. Remove the bag, gently squeeze to extract remaining liquid, then serve over ice or mix into recipes.
- Standard steep: 12–18 hours in refrigerator for smooth extraction
- Concentrate option: half the water, then dilute after brewing
- Gently squeeze bag to maximize yield; discard or compost bag after use
Who is this for: The Stella Blue Big Cat Blend cold brew bags are built for coffee lovers who want a consistent, bold cold brew with minimal fuss—commuters, students, tailgaters, hospitality pros, and anyone who values ethically sourced Arabica and a brand that supports animal rescue.
