Produced by Buffalo Trace Distillery in Frankfort, Kentucky, Stagg Batch 24B is a barrel-proof Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whiskey released in 2024. Bottled uncut and unfiltered at 127.8 proof (63.90% ABV), this batch delivers the powerful, concentrated character associated with Stagg, combining chocolate and brown sugar sweetness with dark fruit, caramel, charred oak and warming spice.
Food Pairing: Smoked brisket, grilled steak, aged cheddar, pecan pie, dark chocolate, or caramel desserts with roasted nuts.
Tasting Notes: Powerful and full-bodied, balancing chocolate and brown sugar sweetness with dark fruit, caramel, vanilla, charred oak and concentrated baking spice.
Nose: Rich and concentrated, with dark cherry, caramel and brown sugar accompanied by vanilla, cocoa, toasted oak and warming baking spices.
Palate: Bold and mouth-coating, developing dark chocolate and brown sugar alongside caramel, dark berries, cinnamon and firmly charred oak.
Finish: Long and warming, with lingering cherry and clove followed by sweet barrel spice, charred oak and a subtle smoky character.
Serve: Enjoy neat in a Glencairn or tulip-shaped whisky glass; at 63.90% ABV, gradually adding a few drops of water can help reveal additional fruit, chocolate and caramel while softening the barrel-proof intensity.
