Within the whisky community, the "(M)" designation is an open secret, widely acknowledged to indicate that the liquid was sourced from the iconic Macallan distillery (the Easter Elchies estate). Distilled in 2007 and bottled in July 2025 as part of Signatory's Cask Strength Collection, this specific release (Cask #14) was matured entirely in a single First-Fill Oloroso Sherry Butt. Bottled at a natural cask strength of 58.4% ABV with no chill-filtration or added color, it offers a massive, unadulterated, and heavily sherried Speyside experience that rivals the distillery's official 18-year-old expressions at a fraction of the secondary market price.
