Soalheiro Granit Alvarinho 2024 is an exquisitely precise and mineral-driven white wine that beautifully showcases the high-altitude vineyards of the Monção e Melgaço subregion. Crafted exclusively from Alvarinho grapes grown in poor granitic soils at 400 meters of elevation, it pours a brilliant pale lemon-yellow hue. The nose is fresh, austere, and elegant, offering an enticing bouquet of crisp green apple, fresh lemon, and white peach, seamlessly layered with pronounced notes of wet stone, slate, and sea spray. On the palate, it is light to medium-bodied, bone-dry, and remarkably vibrant. It delivers a deeply concentrated, pure core of citrus fruit tightly balanced by a razor-sharp, mouthwatering acidity. Aged on its fine lees with regular bâtonnage to enhance texture, it culminates in a long, beautifully focused, and saline-laced finish that purely reflects its rugged mountain terroir.
Food Pairing: Pairs brilliantly with grilled seafood, fresh Mediterranean salads, roasted poultry, mildly aged cheeses, and delicate Asian cuisine like fresh sashimi or steamed dumplings.
