What flavor profile can I expect from this espresso blend?
The blend leans toward sweetness and gentle fruitiness rather than heavy roast bitterness. Expect clear caramel and maple syrup characteristics rounded by a subtle pear note that adds lift to the finish.
- Primary notes: caramel and maple syrup for sweetness
- Supporting acidity: light pear for bright finish
- Roast level: medium roast preserves origin flavors
- Bean type: 100% Arabica from Peru and Ethiopia
How does the coffee perform for espresso and other brew methods?
Though labelled an espresso blend, the beans are versatile and perform well across methods. The medium roast and bean selection provide enough body and clarity for espresso shots while remaining balanced for pour-over, Aeropress, or French press.
- Espresso: pulls with sweet, syrupy crema and clean finish
- Pour-over & Aeropress: highlights fruity and sweet notes
- French press: fuller body, retains caramel character
- Adjust grind size to tune extraction impact
How should I store and dose the 12 oz whole beans for best freshness?
The bag includes a resealable closure to slow oxidation; keep beans in a cool, dark cupboard away from heat and sunlight. Grind just before brewing and use standard dosing practices to match your machine or method.
- Storage: reseal pouch tightly after each use, avoid refrigerator
- Grinding: grind immediately before brewing for maximum aroma
- Dosing guide: 18–20 g per double espresso; 14–16 g for single
- Use within 2–4 weeks of opening for peak flavor
