Privada Storytelling: The Gentleman of the “Mr.” Series
Sinistro’s Mr. Desflorado is unlike anything else in the “Mr.” series. Where Mr. Red brings strength and Mr. White brings sweetness, Mr. Desflorado delivers elegant refinement. The name refers to the rare Desflorado wrapper, a Connecticut-seed leaf from which the flowering tops are removed before seed development. This process focuses nutrients back into the leaf, creating a richer flavor, darker hue, and natural sweetness not found in standard Connecticut shade.
This blend pairs the Desflorado wrapper with an African Cameroon binder—adding a mild spice—and a trio of filler tobaccos that bring subtle complexity without overwhelming strength. You’re left with a medium-bodied cigar that’s floral, creamy, spicy, and softly nutty, like walking through a cedar grove after baking cookies.
Flavor Journey:
-
First Third: Creamy floral notes, hints of honey graham, and cinnamon on the retrohale
-
Second Third: Toasted nuts, dry bread crust, and mild cedar begin to show; body builds slowly
-
Final Third: White pepper and earthy spice increase slightly; floral sweetness remains throughout for a balanced, elegant finish
Construction is consistently excellent. Ash holds strong, and the draw offers just enough resistance to cool the smoke and concentrate each note.
Why It’s Privada-Worthy
At Privada, we gravitate toward uncommon leaf, meaningful stories, and masterful execution. Mr. Desflorado is a standout for its use of rare wrapper technique, balanced by classic Cameroon character and blended with precision. It doesn’t try to impress with strength—it wins through nuance.
Perfect for mornings, late afternoons, or anytime you want a cigar that speaks softly but leaves a lasting impression.
