Silk & Spice Original Red Blend 2023 750ml is a Portuguese red wine created from Touriga Nacional, Syrah, Alicante Bouschet, and Tinta Roriz. Sogrape’s vintage technical sheet identifies Diogo Sepúlveda as winemaker and Sogrape Vinhos in Avintes as bottler. The varieties were harvested and vinified separately, then destemmed and cooled for 24 hours before an approximately eight-day fermentation at an average 26°C alongside malolactic fermentation. The component wines were cleaned, kept separate by variety, and aged for about twelve months before blending. This single 750ml bottle is 13.5% ABV / 27 proof.
The 2023 wine is deep ruby with a bright red rim. Its profile centers on ripe, cooked black fruit, with sweet vanilla and mocha nuances. The palate begins rich and full, balancing tannins and acidity before a long, smooth finish. The producer recommends serving it at 15–17°C and drinking it within 24 hours after opening. Its balanced, smooth style can be enjoyed on its own or with a meal; the technical sheet specifically suggests grilled meat and tomato-based dishes such as lasagna or pizza.
