Produced by Seven Seals Innovation in Switzerland, Seven Seals Amarone Wood Finish is a Swiss single malt finished with Amarone wine casks using the producer’s distinctive maturation method. Bottled at 46% ABV, it has a particularly fruit-forward profile, combining stewed apple and dried red berries with vanilla, cinnamon, orange zest and toffee. The palate develops richer caramel, mocha, wild berries and red-wine-soaked pear before a gently warming coffee and white-pepper finish.
Food Pairing: Roasted duck, grilled beef, aged cheese, dark chocolate, berry desserts, or poached pears with caramel and warming spices.
Tasting Notes: Fruity and rich, balancing red berries and apple with caramel, mocha, vanilla, orange zest, cinnamon and warming spice.
Nose: Dried red berries and stewed apple lead into orange zest, toffee and vanilla with a gentle touch of cinnamon.
Palate: Rich and fruit-forward, with wild berries and red-wine-soaked pear accompanied by caramel, mocha, butterscotch and ginger spice.
Finish: Medium-long, smooth and warming, with lingering coffee, gentle bitterness and white pepper.
Serve: Enjoy neat at room temperature in a Glencairn or tulip-shaped whisky glass; a small amount of water can bring forward additional fruit, caramel and wine-cask character.
