A limited release Reserve Merlot from Paso Robles, this bottling reflects Sequentis' focus on Bordeaux varietals. The nose is openly expressive, leading with ripe boysenberry, black raspberry and plum, then turning toward espresso and cocoa. Underneath, softer cherry aromas sit alongside cedar, graphite and lavender.
The palate is plush and fleshy, built on black currant, blueberry, blackberry and pomegranate, with secondary layers of fresh cherry, cassis, licorice, fig compote and black olive. Focus and balance hold the wine together, giving it an elegant, harmonious complexity. A silky mouthfeel carries into a long finish marked by juicy berries, dark chocolate and sage. Bottled at 14.7% ABV, 750 ml.
