This exceptional wine is part of our Fine Wine Collection.
Winemaking Winemakers rely on their vintners to balance each season and vineyard to allow grapes extended hang time, developing deep color, ripe tannins, and concentrated flavor. Sustainable and organic farming practices across varied vineyard sites promote healthy soils and vibrant fruit expression. Small lot fermentation ensures each block’s character is preserved, while extended maceration builds structure and aging potential. Oak stave aging imparts a polished finish, enhancing the wine’s natural balance and purity.
Vintage The 2023 vintage in Napa Valley unfolded after a cool, wet winter and spring, setting the stage for a long, measured growing season. With no disruptive heat spikes or harvest rains, the fruit enjoyed extended hang time, allowing for optimal ripeness and balance. Grapes from organically farmed Rutherford soils, sun-drenched Pope Valley, and volcanic Calistoga hillsides each matured under ideal conditions unique to this exceptional year. Widely regarded as a standout vintage, 2023 promises wines of remarkable structure, purity, and longevity.
Pairing Logic This bold and fruit-forward Cabernet Sauvignon is a natural partner for grilled red meats, hearty stews, and rich mushroom-based dishes. Its lush blackberry and blackcurrant notes shine alongside savory, umami flavors, while the smooth oak finish complements charred or roasted elements. For a vegetarian option, try lentils or eggplant with herbs and olive oil to highlight the wine’s round mouthfeel and vibrant fruit character.
