Vineyards planted on the sloping hillsides of Sicily are stunningly beautiful and produce some of the best wines in Italy. Fruit grown in the region experience a classic continental climate - dry, hot days are a regular occurrence and salty breezes constantly come off the Mediterranean Sea. Vermentino thrives in this sort of environment as it needs just the right balance of sun to allow fruit to fully ripen but also needs cooler moments so that well-rounded flavors and natural acidity can develop. Thanks to coastal influences this wine features a hint of salinity that balances out rich green fruit and citrus flavors. Bright and zippy acidity was preserved during harvest by picking fruit in the wee hours of the night and makes your mouth water for another glass. Perfect for sipping alone or paired with any kind of seafood dish off the grill, this wine will make you want to plan an Italian getaway immediately!
