From the high-altitude, granite-soiled vineyards of San Martín de Valdeiglesias, just outside Madrid, Rompepalos is a distinctive oxidative-style wine from Bernabeleva. Expect layered notes of dried citrus peel, toasted almond, chamomile, wild herbs and savoury spice, balanced by the lifted freshness and mineral character that defines this Gredos estate. A fascinating bottle for aperitivo service, aged cheeses, roasted nuts or rich Spanish tapas.
