The Roemerhof Riesling Kabinett originates from Germany's esteemed Mosel region, specifically crafted from grapes grown in the middle Mosel Valley. The winery is owned by the Heinz Eifel family, who have been producing wine in the heart of the Mosel for over 400 years. Working alongside his daughter, winemaker Anne Eifel-Spohr, Heinz Eifel focuses on producing award winning Rieslings that reflect the tradition and character of ancient Roman wine culture in the region.
Wine Description
This 100% Riesling presents as a well balanced young wine with a fresh and fruity profile. On the nose, it exudes vibrant aromas of peaches and citrus, which carry through to the palate alongside a crisp acidity that expertly balances its slight sweetness. The wine is light bodied with a low alcohol content of approximately 8.5%, offering a clean and refreshing finish.
Food Pairing
The gentle sweetness and bright acidity of this Kabinett make it an ideal companion for aged cheeses, such as sharp cheddar or gouda. It also pairs beautifully with chicken dishes and rich cream sauces, which are cut through by the wine's refreshing structure.
