Rhum J.M Agricole Blanc 110 Proof (1000 ml) is a powerful, terroir-driven white rum that captures the raw intensity of Martinique’s famed agricole style. Bottled at 110 proof (55% ABV), it delivers vivid sugarcane purity, vibrant tropical fruit, and bright herbal minerality. Bold yet balanced, it is a favorite among bartenders for classic Caribbean cocktails and among enthusiasts seeking the unmistakable flavor of freshly pressed cane.
Origins & Craftsmanship
Rhum J.M is produced in Macouba, Martinique, at a historic distillery founded in 1845 on the slopes of Mount Pelée, where volcanic soils and a humid tropical climate create ideal conditions for sugarcane cultivation.
Unlike most rum, which is distilled from molasses, rhum agricole is made directly from fresh-pressed sugarcane juice, preserving the natural grassy and mineral character of the cane. The cane used for Rhum J.M is harvested from estate fields surrounding the distillery and typically crushed within hours of harvest to retain its aromatic freshness.
After fermentation, the spirit is distilled in a traditional Creole column still, a method that emphasizes the vibrant agricultural character of the raw material. The distillate is proofed with spring water sourced from Mount Pelée, rested for several months, and bottled without aging.
The result is a blanc agricole rum with AOC Martinique designation, a certification that guarantees strict regional production standards and authentic agricultural origin.
Bottled at 55% ABV, this high-proof expression amplifies the rum’s fruit, floral, and mineral notes, making it particularly well suited to traditional island cocktails such as Ti’ Punch.
