2019 was a cooler vintage and perhaps disregarded initially by wine writers and media. However, because of a higher acidity and more elegant structure, wines from this vintage have aged incredibly well with great intensity, elegance and finesse. Chardonnay from Queenston Road Vineyard was hand-selected September 19th, whole bunch pressed, and fermented in older French oak barrels with malolactic fermentation for approximately 10 months before tirage. The wine aged over 66 months on lees before disgorging.
