Redwood Empire Foggy Burl Single Malt Whiskey is an American single malt distilled from 100% malted barley in Sonoma County, California. Batch 001 matured for three years in small 27-gallon barrels with a toast-and-char treatment. This exact 750 mL bottle is bottled at 47% ABV / 94 proof.
The producer describes a coastal nose with hints of caramel, hazelnut, and roasted marshmallow. On the palate, maple syrup and spice lead into chocolate and molasses, with the malt character remaining clear beneath the oak. The finish is warming and layered, balancing sweet grain, toasted wood, and gentle spice.
Serve neat or with a small splash of water to explore the malt and barrel notes, or pour over one large cube for a slower sip. Its mix of caramel, cocoa, spice, and toasted grain also makes it a natural companion for dark chocolate or roasted nuts. Store upright in a cool, dark place.
