Red Spot 15 Year Old Irish Whiskey
Crafted in Ireland using a historic family recipe, this single pot still whiskey is triple-distilled and matured for a full 15 years. It draws its depth and complexity from an exceptional cask combination: American bourbon barrels, Spanish Oloroso sherry butts, and Sicilian Marsala wine casks.
This maturation process adds layers of ripe fruit, warming spice and oak character to a rich, full-bodied spirit. Developed by the legendary Mitchell & Son family, this Irish expression revives a long-lost favourite and delivers a vibrant, characterful drinking experience for whiskey lovers and collectors alike.
- Opens with aromas of baked apple, mango, cherry, hazelnut and American oak
- The palate is rich and layered with Marsala-driven sweetness, cracked pepper, red fruits, toasted oak and soft barley
- An exceptionally long finish filled with spice and stewed fruit notes.
Pair this whiskey with roasted meats, especially pork or duck, to echo its fruit and spice. Strong cheeses like aged Gouda or blue cheese pair well with the richness. For dessert, enjoy it alongside fruit tarts or dark chocolate to enhance its bold finish.
