Rebel, formerly known as Rebel Yell, is a storied Kentucky straight bourbon whiskey from the United States. The brand's original recipe dates back to 1849, having been invented at the facility that would eventually become the renowned Stitzel-Weller Distillery in Louisville. Introduced as "Rebel Yell" in 1936 by Charles R. Farnsley, the brand was originally created for exclusive distribution in the Southern United States. In 2020, the brand was refashioned as "Rebel" to reflect modern values while preserving its heritage. Today, it is part of the Lux Row Distillers portfolio in Bardstown, Kentucky, which is owned by MGP Ingredients.
