This red wine originates from the United States, produced in the California region within the renowned Napa Valley. Quilt is an innovative creation by Joseph Wagner, a fifth generation Napa Valley winemaker whose family founded the iconic Caymus Vineyards. The winery's philosophy is centred on representing Napa Valley as a patchwork of diverse terroirs, sourcing fruit from premier sub-AVAs such as Oakville, St. Helena, and Howell Mountain to create a blend with exceptional complexity and consistency.
Wine Description
The Quilt Cabernet Sauvignon displays a dark ruby red or deep plum colour. The nose is expressive and fragrant, featuring exuberant aromas of dark cherry strudel, ripe blackberry, and cocoa nibs, complemented by hints of toasted oak and vanilla. On the palate, the wine is bold and opulent, delivering rich flavours of blackberry pie, chocolate cherry, and Malabar plum with a hint of clove. It is characterized by its full body, plush mouthfeel, and vibrant acidity, leading into a long, smooth finish with velvety tannins.
