This exceptional wine is part of our Fine Wine Collection.
Winemaking Balancing vibrancy with depth, the winemakers harness cool fermentation to preserve Sauvignon Blanc’s signature energy before introducing oak for added complexity. This careful aging process lends a plush texture and subtle toasty notes, complementing the grape’s natural acidity while elevating the wine beyond a simple refresher. Thanks to meticulous vineyard management through spring rains and a sun-drenched harvest, the 2023 vintage shines with both precision and richness.
Vintage 2023 brought both uncertainty and promise to New Zealand’s vineyards, with Nelson emerging as one of the year’s success stories. Shielded from Cyclone Gabrielle’s destruction, the region benefited from its sheltered position and abundant sunshine, allowing the vines to flourish. Spring and summer rains kept vineyard crews busy, but careful pruning and well-draining soils ensured healthy fruit development. By harvest, the skies had cleared, and the extended sunshine provided the final push for perfectly ripened grapes, marking 2023 as a standout vintage.
Pairing Logic This Sauvignon Blanc’s vibrant acidity and tropical fruit expression make it an ideal match for oysters, sushi, and citrus-infused seafood dishes. Its zesty, mineral-driven profile pairs effortlessly with goat cheese, herbed goat cheese tarts, and green vegetable dishes like asparagus or snap peas. For a dynamic contrast, try it with spicy curries or chili-laced dishes, where its bright freshness cools the heat and highlights bold, aromatic spices.
