Punch put its Rare Corojo name on an all-new blend to mark 25 years on the shelf, and this one breaks from tradition in the way that matters most: it's made at the Eiroa family's Fábrica de Puros Aladino in the Jamastran Valley, not STG Danlí where standard Punch is rolled.
That move changes the cigar. The 25th Anniversary is a true Honduran puro built around Corojo. Corojo wrapper, Corojo binder, and a filler of Corojo and Habano, all Honduran leaf grown by the family that makes Aladino and the JRE Tobacco brands. Corojo seed traces back to Cuba decades ago, and in the right hands it delivers spice and depth without losing structure.
The profile is bold and Corojo-forward. Spice up front, cedar through the middle, earth underneath, and a peppery finish that runs the length of the cigar. Punch built this one medium to full, so it carries weight without crossing into harsh. The retrohale is where the signature Punch character shows up.
The 6x54 Toro is the only size, and it's a deliberate one. The format gives the blend room to open and hold its flavor from light to nub, with a burn time close to two hours. Unlike past Rare Corojo releases that rotated out year to year, this is a permanent addition. It stays in the lineup alongside the original.
