99-100 Points – James Suckling,
“A sublime Château Ausone of extraordinary precision and elegance. The nose is breathtakingly complex, revealing layers of blackberries, black cherries and wild blueberries intertwined with violets, graphite, crushed limestone, licorice and delicate exotic spices. The palate is seamlessly textured and intensely concentrated, combining remarkable purity of fruit with a striking mineral core and vibrant freshness. Ultra-fine tannins provide effortless structure, allowing the wine’s floral lift and limestone-driven energy to shine through a finish of exceptional length and refinement. Profound, harmonious and impeccably balanced, this is a timeless Saint-Émilion with immense aging potential.”
